Much has changed my padawan...

I'd almost forgotten this was here...

and much has changed in 2 and a half years.

I finished my studies and look like I might be heading back to do some more.
I've had a rollercoaster of a time with my weight...however with great determination, I've now lost 8 kgs and running further than I've ever run before.
I've been to NZ and back. I want to travel more.
Moved out of home and moved back. And now want to move back out.
Now only work one job...but it keeps me busy enough. (I'm a teacher now...) Could a 2nd job be looming again?
I have a girlfriend and while everything is swell, the distance is a pain. (She lives in Kilsyth). She's a nurse, we're madly in love and have been going strong for 5 months :)
People come and people go. Thankfully more are coming than going. However I have lost some very close people in the last year.

Slowly but surely realising that life is short and that every opportunity needs to be taken with both hands.

hopefully will be getting an edublog up and running this year :)

au revoir.

2009 half time review.

well we're half way through the year...and so much has changed.

before i go on. what brought this random blog on was a trip to highpoint today;

where i noticed that while the building and shops may change.

old habits dont. ive always found it curious that on levels 2 and 3 people tend to walk on the left hand side (going towards myer from the food court) and not the right. its always puzzled me.

but its amazing how things change over 10 years.

i've met so many people.

done so much.

worked so hard.

it's now about to pay off.

im buying a house. (yes im moving out.)

im going on holiday to nz.

and finally there seems to be some progress on the girl front.

lol but its about time considering that ross now has a girlfriend.

it leaves me and joshua as the only single ones left.

but hey. weirder shit has happened.

tbc....

bubble. pt II

well bubble was a giant fizzer.
boot and brooke came. unkie dave bailed to lou's early.
the person i was meeting turned up and then "no-sold" me.
totally different in front of my friends as to how she'd been previous.
i didnt like what id seen. we're talking several deal breakers.
but get this.
after no-selling me for most of the night

anyways. so its easter.
Happy Easter everyone.
this year i've opted out of the family do.
to be quite frank, i just can't really be bothered with aspects of my family.
yes that sounds harsh but hey. its true.

another thing. i went to church this morning for the first time since christmas.
i feel terrible for becoming one of those people.
however prior to this morning. i was thinking that i'd been in a crisis of faith.
by this i mean in my mind i had been challenging all that had been taught (and expected) of me for the past 21 years. (theres that number again.)
however going to church this morning i realised that maybe it wasnt a crisis of faith that i'd been having. maybe it was something else. im not sure what that something else is just yet but i will be on the look out to find out what it is.

anyways im going to anglers soon.
correction: was going to anglers. amandas chucking her guts up and rhis now only going over to watch movies. homework and COD5 or the footy beckons....

we've come a long long way together...

...through the hard times and the good.

lol.
for those wondering what the hell im talking about,
they were fat boy slim lyrics. from the 90's.

who would have thought that 10 years after hearing
that song for the first time, id be seeing it performed
live @ Good Vibrations Festival (for those who dont know,
GVF is an annual music fest in melbourne)

GVF was awesome on the weekend. sam sparro, the
presets & fat boy slim rocked the stage. to put it into words:

right about now,
i was seeing black and gold,
locked up with my people,
and knowing what is what.

lol thats a little play on the lyrics of the three artists :p
but seriously it was awesome. best day out in a while.

anyways ive been heaps busy lately btw the two jobs.
hence the absence of recent posts. but really all is well.

year of jimmy mk II is still going well. not much craziness
to report just yetbut hey ive decided im going on holiday
to New Zealand with contiki next year. might be taking
some of the kmart boys with me. who knows really?
im happy to travel on my own. it would FORCE me to
meet new ppl. which i want to do. =D

im at work anyways so possibly more to come soon...

No is the new Yes...

ok. first up.

happy new year everyone. hopefully you all had a great festive season.

last night i caught up with a very good friend of mine.
other friends of mine had suggested it was a date,
when i knew it was just catching up.
it had been a stretch of about 4 months (we worked this out last night)
dinner, movies and chatting was the agreed format.

to be honest. the burger was awesome. summer sunset
from grill'd at highpoint was great.
we were chatting and catching up on new happenings in our lives.
then came time for the movie.
My choice apparently because it was my birthday hangout.
Out of Ben Button, Twilight, Yes Man; we went with Yes Man,
expecting a movie that was funny with no real plot line.
just like we had months earlier when we went to see Pineapple Express.

Turns out we were wrong. and im glad we were.
Jim Carrey plays a guy that says no to everything when he attends
a seminar of saying yes to everything.
Turns out everything goes well for him....
...because he says yes to everything.

ive decided that this year i will be more open to things outside my usual reality
ive decided that this year things will go slower than they usually go for me...
ive decided that this year will be the Year of Jimmy Mk II since Mk I started so late.

for those that dont know Year of Jimmy Mk I was a creation of ours
to suggest that last year was going to be my year.
I decided we'll extend it and take every opportunity that comes my way.
even maybe create some.
